I've spent my last two days off from work extremely drunk and high with Black Sabbath's first three albums always playing in my car, on my record player, other peoples cars, my house, other people's house etc.

Not Crap in the slightest.

I remember some crazy shit you wrote about Black Sabbath in one of the threads. You're older now, you can apologize. It'll be fine.

I have to admit I'm not much of a Black Sabbath fan, but there's no way I'd vote crap. They've influenced too many worthwhile artists and blazed too many trails not to be acknowledged for their importance. Any band that could influence Alice Cooper, Black Flag and Sleep must have done a hell of a lot right.

I do think the Sabbath vs. Zep argument is a bit silly, though. I mean, talk about apples and oranges ... two bands that redefined hard rock, but from very different perspectives.

I saw black sabbath play at a relatively small theatre style venue in london back in 1999 (I think it was, may have been 98). Amazing.. bill ward and geezer butler were awesome, especially during NIB what a tune. At the end of the show they shot out a load of black bus ticket/ cloakroom tickets with the sabbath logo on.. I kept mine in my wallet for ages but sadly I lost the wallet.. SHAME
