Why Are Vaccinations One Of The Few Medical Treatments That The Government Places Into The Category Of Universal Care, Often To The Point Of Intimidation?

Except that you will only listen to research that is beholden to the medical establishment, so your blah blah blah about 'we must rigorously study' is about as serious as someone like Newberry's is.

Rick, what other establishment is going to test drugs, the society of sounds recordists?

I imagine that the U.S is similar to the U.K in that there is an independant body maintaining standards that drugs are developed against. If drugs companies had the ability to put stuff straight to market then we would have a problem.

That said, one catastrophic failure of the system did result in the release of Thalidomide onto the market.

Thalidomide is being used again to treat a few different diseases, under very strict circumstances. Leprosy is one instance where it is being used. Also, Behcet's Syndrome.

Yeah, I saw that. My mother told me that she took it carrying me.

I thought it was the elites industrial waste that was the cause of autism. Or that autism does not exist. I can't keep up with the slew of uninformed bullshit coming from the internet. I'm glad we have Sideshow Bob to condense it all into small bitesize turd diamonds.

Vaccinations are important to prevent disease in children, diseases that can cause long term damage and even death. I have explained the consequences of not being immunised in my previous post. I speak from personal experience not simply repeating some bullshit I read on prisonbitch.org or heard Alex Jones say.

There is no evidence linking autism to childhood vaccinations.

There is no evidence that the elites are poisoning children, apart from the much more obvious and serious problem of environmental pollution.

Rick you do realise that in every field of science there are people employed to pull this shit apart, don't you? They are commonly known as scientists. They do a better job of it than you.

We accept that drugs are big business and that their approach to producing and marketing borders on the unethical (like most other industries), but let's draw a distinction between unethical practices and knowingly marketing harmful drugs.

Keep those tards away from my kids! Integrating tards into society and normal schools and feeding them indigestion-causing school food is just the elites' way of conspiring to spread this scourge amongst us!

The standards that govern the testing and approvals system are, yes.

Regarding MMR, here's an piece from a BBC programme on the Wakefield fuelled controversy.
Ever since, scientists have been looking at the evidence to see whether there really is a link between autism and the vaccine. The medical community has relied mainly on epidemiology - the statistical study of large populations. These studies have overwhelmingly found no link between autism and MMR. Opponents claim that some of these studies might have flaws, but there are over a dozen epidemiological studies in different countries that use different techniques that have reached the same conclusion. At the very least, these studies show that the large increases in rates of autism that have been reported in many countries around the world cannot be due to MMR.

This shows that we don't just rely on one study to pass the approvals process.

Wakefield based his findings on the study of something like 12 patients, not enough to confirm his findings.
