We have a couple of principal reasons for using the Vic Firth headphones. Probably the most important is that they don't break or become intermittent as often as the Sennehisers. Additionally, when they do break, they get fixed or replaced quickly.Practically, what is good about them is that they are light and they stay seated on your head when you're rocking. The isolation is also good, but if they were uncomfortable or fell off easily nobody would care about the isolation.

I wanted to bring this back up to see if anyone else has any issues with having the HDS-6 unit sitting in the rack in the control room....I've had to put mine in a closet down the hall because the humming from inside the unit is too loud to have in the control room. Now I have a whole mess of cables going to and from. Did you guys at Electrical do anything to keep that thing quiet enough to put in the rack?
