"Up from the depths and down from the mountains they came. Beast-
like men; seeking rough pleasures. Foul was their stench, but fouler
by far were their blood-stained consciences".... How far is it from
the Irving Park CTA to Martyr's? Walking distance?

I will travel within Milwaukee (4.89 miles) and attend the Thursday evening show

I will travel from Milwaukee and attend the Friday evening show and both Saturday shows.

I am excited to see Shellac, but I am also excited to see Bear Claw, Call Me Lightning, Couch Flambeau and Scrawl.

So nice.

Not far (I'm assuming you mean the Irving Park Brown Line stop). Martyr's is a couple of blocks south of Irving and Lincoln, which is two blocks west of the Brown Line stop.

No, I was thinking Blue, but I'm open to suggestions.

Rog,

Where are you coming from? That is, what comes before your CTA ride? The Brown Line Irving stop is closest. If you have to take the Blue Line, you can either catch an east-bound Irving Park bus, or take a cab to Martyr's. I would guess a cab ride there would be in the neighborhood of $10.

Peas,
Mr. King
there is only one clear path and it's paved with bacon.

Mr. King,

I would be coming from the Rosemont Park and Ride(manual
transmission, I fear for my clutch). Yes, the bus seems unavoidable.
But, $10 isn't too bad. I've never hailed a cab, we call them to our
homes here in Madison; it could be fun.

Thanks for the advice.

Yours in monarchy,

I've got to travel far! I have to get off my ass and get to my car, that hurts right there, drive from harlem and higgins down the kennedy, get off at irving, and drive a few more miles. Wa! Hey if anyone lives on the northwest side and needs a ride to the shows I can swing it. Just PM me.

i will be travelling from Kenosha, Wisconsin (Home of the Rambler! Hell Yeah!)... roughly an hour and a half.

here's a question: who wins the prize for travelling the furthest to see one of the upcoming shows. i'm obviously not in the running, and neither is the Classical; but Weissenberger's coming quite a distance... anyone else travelling phenomenal distances to witness this sonic spectacle?

I definetly win, because I'll be flying in an airplane from Orlando. Florida.

I will be at both Saturday shows and the Sunday show. I now regret not buying tickets for Friday night, since I will be arriving in Chicago at 10a Friday morning.

Thank you forever to the kind gentleman lending me his accomodations for the weekend. You are special.

Also, even though I mentioned this elsewhere (and was rudely hated upon by a one-trick pony) I will have a small number of name tags in my pocket if anyone wants to come see me. I'll be wearing one.
