The obtaining of a internship

1
I'll post a little bit about my background before asking for advice, since that's what I need help dealing with first. So, I am incredibly obsessed with music, both listening and playing. I spend most, if not all of the day doing one or the other, especially since I've recently finished my teen education. I've been engrossed for as long as I can remember, but being raised in a family of academics has led to my education being limited in the arts, and I'm going to be doing a Psychology degree come September.Long story short, the issue is that I know nothing about Music production, and I don't have a single music-related qualification... at all. I've been reading books on certain recording techniques and trying to absorb them, but I'm finding it hard to have any way of applying this since I have nothing more than a used Blue Snowball and an Acoustic guitar. But I really want to get into recording. It's the only job that, even at it's most tedious points and lowest ranks, I would actually really enjoy working towards. I've read Assistant engineers and other interns recommending sending a letter in with a CV, but it's incredibly difficult for me, a newly out of education teen with zero recording or working experience to make owners and engineers see that working in a recording studio is what I want to do, and to be able to convince them that I'd be any good.I'm open to learning music production and interning/volunteering more than ever, I know that I'm a quick learner, and with some decent immersion and a bit of time, I can pick up on everything and anything. Music a giiiiant part of my existence right now, and this is exactly what I want to do. I'm just afraid that with my qualification and experience status, I would be instantly shunned away by everybody. So, anybody have some advice on how do I go about getting an internship at a studio? Is it worth mine or a studio owner/engineer's time for me to send a letter in?I live in Central London, UK if that changes anything.
