Yeah, hi, we're a duo from Michigan, me as producer and other guy as rapper. About half of our stuff is harsh, noisy, industrial hip-hop that I know won't be a problem to record here. The other half is super-polished poppier stuff. Wondering whether that can be recorded here or if it's not going to be ideal.Also, this is the first time we'd be recording at a real studio with honest-to-god equipment, as opposed to our Guitar Center stock stuff. By hiring an engineer, is his whole point to cover the recording and, um, engineering process or what? What does he do? Because I know I'm not competent enough to warrant like $500 a day with equipment I can't take the best advantage of.Hope you guys got what I'm getting at.

Wow, I have no idea what the fuck I was thinking when I wrote that second paragraph. What I think I meant to say was "Is hiring an engineer worth it?" which I'm pretty sure it is, so you can disregard the whole second half there. First part still ridiculously important tho.

Hey, I've never worked at electrical, but I mean I guess I could help you gauge the level of need you have? So, you are the producer, but where are the tracks coming from ? Have you produced them with a DAW? Or are you working with an industrial band?
