http://songsohia.com/OKAY! I certainly don't want to feed into any gossip at all, but I gotta question: Is this legit? I will gladly GLADLY donate some $$ to this man's medical fund, if it in fact is true. I don't need no specifics, I just want to know if this is a legitimate donation that I'd be making. Ike

I have two records of his and deeply enjoy both of them, though I did hear one or two songs off of what I think was his first album and thought they were awful. But a few crappy songs early in his career can't destroy how I feel about Didn't It Rain and especially Ghost Tropic, which is an almost insanely bleak, frightening record and seriously underrated.Ghost Tropic is also pretty much the perfect rebuttal to anyone who says Jason Molina sounds too much like Will Oldham, because it sounds absolutely nothing like any record Oldham's made.I haven't heard that much of Molina's catalog, but two great records - and they are both great - is enough to earn pretty much any artist a Not Crap from me, and Molina's not crap.

I *think* it was meant to be an introduction to the new band/sound and a goodbye the previous. Bit of an overlap to get everyone's attention. Just a guess tough...Again, Impala is unfuckwithable. Get it.And again... anyone who agrees that Didn't It Rain is the top shelf absolutely needs the Grey Tower 7er to accompany it. Necessary purchase.NC ever.

Guess it's a basic question but I've never quite understood why.
