I didn't sub grappling at all till I started doing it about four years ago, and by this point I am only starting to figure it out. It is like a weird combination of chess and twister and rock-scissors-paper. It is also not very telegenic at times, which is why you see all the ref stand-ups in the UFC. ...which can be crap. In places where more people are familiar with groundfighting (Brazil, Japan, Russia) MMA gets more respect because more people actually know what is going on and are patient enough to watch it.

I watched UFC twice, the first time, it was two dudes who slapped each other once or twice and then they dry-humped for several minutes until one tapped out. I thought I'd give it one more chance, the second time the two dudes in the fight slapped each other one or twice, kicked each other once or twice, and then dry humped for several minutes until one tapped out. I'm not interested in watching two dudes in boxer-brief speedos dry hump. I don't care that it's in an octagon. It's bullshit. WWF may be all fake and stupid, but at least there's a storyline and no dry humping.

You have quite clearly never trained in a combat sport. I've done my fair share of running and weightlifting, I've never beem as fit and strong as I am now.

Once again, here is Khabib negotiating his next contract mid-mauling last night.phpBB [media]25-0Never thought I would be so inspired by a mixed martial artist from Dagistan. I would put a poster above my bed. I wish everyone else here felt the same way and we could all discuss Khabib Nurmagomedov together.
