Vera Farmiga doesn't deserve the satanic-panic lines she was forced to utter, and am I the only one who thinks Raggedy Ann makes a better Annabelle?I just assumed the Raggedy Ann thing was a matter of copyright/ownership issues.

Or when the kid was being dragged around from her hair by the entity and Eliazbeth Warren just took a pair of scissors and cut a swath of the hair? It would have been pretty funny if she started getting dragged around again by the rest of her hair that didn't get cut.I suspend all forms of disbelief when going into these movies, but I couldn't do it with this one. It was heavy-handed and implausible. Every scene I was like: really? And as much as I enjoy Lili Taylor, she was completely out of her league when the shit hit the fan.

Thought "The Conjuring" was pretty damn entertaining. A couple of those young kids were great, and the sound/spook factor was a nice surprise. I have a thing for Vera Farmiga and want her to make me sandwiches.
Segment Two: Servo falls in love with Joel's new blender, but the courtship turns sour when Joel drinks from Servo's girl. Undeterred, Servo flirts with the coffeemaker, until he realizes he's a guy.

It made me hate him. Slowly beginning to think that dude's a hack who somehow struck gold with House of the Devil. As for the rest of the movie, out of all of the months I was waiting to see it, I never once came across any review that mentioned how perverse many of the shorts are. Going into it pretty much blind (except for being aware of the concept) I was sincerely shocked and repulsed by a couple of them. Most were stupid and confusing, but there are a few gems scattered throughout. I don't want to name titles, but the shorts dealing with letters D, I, L, O, P, and U were great. L, fucking christ, L. Can't unsee that one.

Sounds like a total nightmare, no pun intended.

Thanks Randy. Lake Mungo and Absentia will be watched. By me.Adam Sr: I actually kind of hated Kill List (I just really don't recall what happened at all, it's one of those that kept me reasonably attentive during the film but left no impression on my goldfishlike brain). However I am really looking forward to A Field in England - THERES A MUSHROOM SCENE YOU GUYS.
