Any R&B records made at Electrical?

This is my life: answering questions for steve albini.I know that the Plush record was made with horns in the dead room. JC Brooks and the Uptown sound have recorded here too, but I forget which studio they did their record. We do branch out of hard rock--while that seems to be our focus, we get a fair amount of folk, classical and jazz groups (Greg has recorded a ton of artists in the local jazz/experimental scene.) I think what would be best is if you took a tour of the place, checked out our two studios and maybe get a chance to speak to Greg--he's fantastic, and he's really open to ideas and helping our clients get the sound they want. email me if you'd like: sowley@electricalaudio.com

Any R&B records made at Electrical?

I'm considering booking Electrical because I want to work with tape and vintage effects, but I see no evidence of any music like ours having been recorded here. It's R&B and we want the record to sound like 1975 (dead drums, horns, etc.). Has music like this been successfully recorded here (or elsewhere by Greg Norman), or is it just straight hard rock? I want to feel like I'm working somewhere, or with people, who have some background with those sounds. Thanks!
