GFS getting in on the Gold Foil thing. Some details here, will be up on their website next week sometime.Already acknowledged that these aren't authentic copies, so very probably some kind of single-coil/P90 dressed up as a gold foil. Will see how close they sound once demos are available...the soapbar version looks kind of groovy, and I could see me getting some of them if they're cheap enough and sound good.

They're don't have the same subtlety of a big loud tube amp, but they work well, they're tiny, they're loud, and they don't sound unpleasant.I have a MicroPro 200. This amp.http://www.quilterlabs.com/index.php/pr ... opro-200-8Why do I have it? It belongs to my work. They bought it for a comparison. I basically have it on long term loan. I grabbed it because I was playing a lot of gigs in a ukulele ensemble with my wife. I was playing electric guitar, so I needed something that sounded like a guitar amp. Pretty much every other instrument was mic'd or DI'd. We had no regular PA. Every gig was different. Also, in most cases I had to park pretty far from where we played. There was no loading area. Basically, an ultralight, neutral amp that can operate at a bunch of different volume levels was exactly what I needed, and this worked perfectly. I've used it in a bunch of different settings since then; in-stores, sitting in, and so on. I won't sell my Princeton or Pro Reverb, but when I need something to grab and go, it's my first choice.

You know, a real portable, open DSP-box would be quite amazing.Actually a guy made a open source pedal but it got no steam before. Less complicated but;http://howleraudio.com/frontpage/Feel bad for the guy he built it and nobody came.I want to know how they get the Lightning bolts in the video are they controlled by midi or something?
