Was wondering if I couldn't throw and extra cab on the 100 side and use it for either extra air movement or for a monitor for myself? Would this be a bad deal on the amp?I've put the 300w into a 1x15 and the 100w into a 1x12. I actually prefer full range to bi-amp with that kind of setup.

Just make sure your speakers can handle the wattage and bass frequencies and you should be fine. My 1x12 had an Eminence Swamp Thang, I think -- very full frequency driver, 150w. I just about had it ready to go when I stopped playing bass regularly, unfortunately. I'd be surprised if you weren't very happy with the results.

Beefs it up?The cabs are stacked, 4x12 on top of 2x15 (which is about the size of a 4x12 ¦the speakers are staggered). Standing in front of it I mostly hear the 4x12 since it's closer to ear level. It's more for definition, and the 2x15 makes it more full in the low end. You notice it if it's not there. I can't compare it to biamping with the crossover as I haven't ever run it that way ¦I only got the GK a few months ago and haven't gigged with it yet. I'm also using an external preamp into the GK's effect return, so the GK is for the power section only. It shouldn't make much difference, but as they say on all the gear forums, YMMV.
