Fortress is a nice little place with good folks working there. It ain't no electrical audio but then again where is? Don't know much about the prices but if anyone does record there, ask for one Mr. Tom Morris at the helm.

A friend of mine worked for them back when they only had maybe 4 studios and said that they were all in fairly bad disrepair at the time. One tech to service all of them. My friend worked at the cheapest one so stuff basically never got fixed despite big name bands spending a lot of time and money there. Besides this, I know nothing about them except that they've clearly grown since then.

I'm pretty sure that when my friend worked there they were all owned in-house.

Miloco is essentially a time share business - they're set up more like an agency that takes a cut from helping studios fill out their schedules, rather than owning all of the facilities themselves.

They apparently book or run like dozens of studios all over the world now. It looks like the Clear Channel of recording or something.

Sure, you win one day or so, worth up to $1000. Of course there are non Miloco studios nearby, you pay your own way, I figured they just want to sell you additional time and services, since you're not walking out at the end of the day with finished anything.
