High Flying Hi-Flier Thread for High Flyers

(new member so please be gentle).I recently unearthed my Hi-Flyer (3) and among a few things that need to be addressed is a fairly frozen toggle switch. It's been sprayed with contact cleaner and worked back an forth but that only helped marginally; I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. If anyone knows of a good (ie. functionally good that fits well and/or something close to the original) replacement let me know (links are a huge help). Many thanks in advance.

People who've upgraded the tuners on their Hi-Flier: what did you put on them?My guitar's last owner installed some Ping/Allparts plank tuners that function as well as or worse than the stock tuners. Great job, dude.I've been looking around and am kind of looking at Grover's Super Rotomatics, with the stepped keys. But I don't know what measurements to make or other fit factors to consider. The damage is already done as far as drilling extra holes into the headstock, so that doesn't worry me. Just don't want anything that'll not stick up correctly through the top or something.

Super smooth feeling and a 18:1 ratio. I have some inline on a Strat, but I believe they make 3x3 as well. They'll look a lot like Mosrite tuners. Going to buy another set for my 52 Tele reissue.

My HFs have all got the rounded button Grovers like you find on some Gibsons (like the ones on Jimmy Page's Les Pauls). Some particular types aren't quite high enough to go through the headstock and give enough clearance but, from memory, the standard ones for Gibsons work fine. They need the post holes widening and extra holes drilling but they work great and (maybe my imagination) change the sound of the guitar positively too. There's a pic earlier in the thread...
