Somewhat relevant to topic I guess, but....the tip of the iceberg that is the amp collection at God City Studios in Salem. Every time I see this photo, I feel funny:

Fender Champ 25se (stolen by friend who nailed my ex-fiancee)
Fender Concert (still use for small shows and recording)
Fender HotRod Deville (out to pasture. Lent to bandmates in crappier situations)
Fender Super Amp (not a Super Reverb. I love this thing.)

103Traynor YGM-3 (Ditched it early on, should have kept it, bought another one 20+ years later)*Crate Blue VoodooMarshall JMP 2204Sovtek Mig 60 Soldano Avenger*Fender Bassman (Silverface)Park 100W*Modded Bell & Howell Film-o-sound*Not as many as I thought! The Soldano is the main live beast and the Park is the main recording beast. Bought a YGM-3 because I missed the one I had originally and I wanted something clean with reverb. The Film-o-sound is 12 watts of fury. Link Wray in a box.

I've since gotten a Traynor YBA-1A and I barely ever use it because I love the Bassman 50 so much. Over time I've realized whenever I play something else I try to get it to sound like the Bassman 50, and nothing else quite gets there. The Deluxe Reverb gets used a lot for recording, and the occasional "quiet" gig, where I'm still yelled at for being too loud. I have other oddball combos that get used for recording now (60s Ampeg Jet, Flot-A-Tone combo that somebody chopped into a head), but the Bassman 50 is still king in my world.
That dog won't hunt, monsignor.

105I think this is about it. My dad played guitar and had some nice stuff, so a lot of the stuff I played on growing up was his or was on loan from his friend. This is all the stuff I ve actually owned in rough chronological order. I m not even going to try to list the cabinets. 109My personal amplification journey:1. dumb2. dumber3. more dumber 4. most dumbest ˜Cause you know, the grass is always greener and the next amp is always better. I ve bought, sold and traded an arguably œdumb amount of amps in a valiant attempt to distract myself from actually making music.
