Love the 470there s nothing "special" about the 400rb, but has a good range to put pedals in front of. It s indestructible and light. Other bass amps in the price range sound like farts. You can plug into a 400rb and sound fine. If you need smooooth bass, you'll sound great with no effort.470 has its own thing going and I prefer the sound of the preamp, but I have a borken one in my basement and my 400rb keeps trucking.
