Happy dadness, prowler!Happy first day of school, djimbe!Been a good summer here. Flight to the states and back went off well with the then 15-month-old little dude. He got to meet my whole family for the first time and they were thrilled (they got to meet my partner for the first time too, equally thrilled). We went tent camping for nine days for the first time a couple weeks back and went back to the lake for a couple days this weekend. Will repeat that in a couple weeks. He likes the lake and the woods.Casey started the acclimation phase at pre-school on August first, currently in the midst of that. I take him every day for a couple hours and sit in a corner while he gets used to the place and the teachers. Has been going alright, ups and downs. We tried the first little separation last Thursday and repeated Friday (I said goodbye and left for a half hour). Went alright but we're not quite there yet. If all goes well he will be going six hours a day come September first and then we will ramp up to between seven and nine from there depending on our workloads. It's just around the way, a five minute walk from here. It was our first choice and I'm glad we got a spot there, being there has confirmed my initial enthusiasm for and trust in them. It's a melting pot type school, kids with parents from all over. Pretty cool to see them all playing together like it's the most natural thing in the world (as it is). Gives me hope for this place and the future.PS: Glad that Luna is doing well again too, Lu!
