Bassdriver - sure, not a problem. It will split the impedance, technically doubling it like a half-normaled patch bay, but that hasnt shown to be a problem. The output impedance is around 600 ohms @ 1khz so it would send two 1k2 ohm signals to the input of your PA, which is totally acceptable. Line levels can be as high as 10k ohm and still sound fine (generally, for consumer use). One of the outputs would be unlabled, obviously. Also, you might want to check if the QSC GX has the dip-switches on the back. If so, I believe it can do dual-mono. Meaning that it can take the signal from input A and apply it to both stereo outputs. Do you know the exact model?Either way, I can add the 2nd input. Im just saying you might not need it.

Preferably with regular 1/4" speaker outs instead of speakon bullshits.I was looking for something like that to pair with the 1978. Cheapest option that sounds decent. I keep considering just getting a used GK MB800 (or MB500), some rack ears, and plugging into the effects return.Aren't some of the modern speakon jacks dual use speakon or 1/4"?Tommy, if youre going to spend $600 on a used GK MB800, I would suggest a Crown XLS xxx2. They are also Class D and follow the ICE Power style of PWM. 2502 being the highest wattage, the one I use with an 8x10 cabinet. You might not need all that power but its nice to have it on tap. Its $600 new, 2ru and very light compared to a standard solid state PA head of that stature.https://3e7777c294b9bcaa5486-bc95634e60 ... iginal.pdfIts got DSP which allows you to high pass and low pass your channels. If youre using 2 cabs, you can get creative with sending subs to one and everything else to the other. It also runs dual mono from a single input and takes 1/4 jacks. Im not certain about the outputs being dual-purpose. The manual mentions 1/4" in the description but I have always just used a speakon cable.Manual says:4-Pole Speakon ® Output Connectors: Two - 1/4 inch input connectors accept 2-pole or4-pole Speakon connectors. The Channel 1connector is wired for both channels so it can beused for BRIDGE mode wiring or stereo wiring oftwo speakers to a single Speakon.

I searched a little further and the Crown XLI 1500 does have a Stereo/Bridge/Parallel switch. it s in the same price range as the QSC amp. think that s a good option as well.

I'd honestly be after the MB500 instead of the 800 (I don't need that much wattage) and I'm not into biamping at all. Full range into 1 or 2 Mesa 15" with an EV. I *should* be able to find an MB500 used for $350 if I look hard. What's an appropriate Crown that'll do 8 ohms x1, 8 ohms x 2, or 4 ohms x 1? What I don't like about the Crown is relying on a cable to bridge it. I hate having special cables because I lose them.Hey Tommy, I was only pointing out what I use and the fact that its light and gives me everything I could ever need for under $600 new. Im sure you will find the right amp for your needs. I could never say definitively what is the right fit for anyone else. Just relaying my experience.
