I have gotten several requests in the last few days to delete accounts of forum members, and want to start a discussion about why that is a thing now. To be clear, this is people contacting me and asking to have their own accounts deleted and all their posts removed.Haven't done it yet, certainly will if people insist, but it's irrevocable and I want to know why it's suddenly a thing.

To the people wanting to delete accounts -1.Don't goooo, we will miss you2. You know you will want to come back at some point, facebooks, slacks, whatever don't have all the things on offer here and never will be quite the same.3. Consider lurking, you can always come back under a new or old account later. A lot of us navigate this forum using 'Go to first unread post' and when people's entire posting history gets deleted it messes that up for, oh about a year.4. In the Tech Room, no one can hear you scream.JD
