I think that space was absolutely incredible! Seems like a no-brainer to me. Secret ballot sounds fine and interesting (although it will absolutely reward known commodities). That's definitely something new though! My only gripe with how things went last time is that for those of us that want to expand the circle, I think it's always best to open it up for outside submissions. Of course that means telling a bunch of bands no too. 2018 was kind of a circle the wagons/family tight kind of year, it made sense.Let's keep it open to awesome new stuff beyond buds too. That's my two cents. As always, down to help however I can.And yes, we still have the tents from last year.
Yes it's true, I am made from atoms.

I m in. Sounds like a great idea.Suggestion: at Drug Church, we had breaks of 90 or so minutes in between every block of 3-5 bands for food, drink, bullshitting, and general grabassery. Let s bring that shit back. At the expense of not everyone gets to play it makes it less of an endurance test for the audience, which creates a more attentive and enthusiastic audience for the bands. The tradeoff is maybe that only two of every FM s bands get to play instead of all five, but other than that I think it s a total win-win.

SECONDEDDunno what Russell needs to do to make that happen, or if they'd even want to, but i'd lose my shit.Absolutely support doing this year's at the same location as last year's. No brainer. The little i got to talk with the owners last year, they seemed to love having us. The voting thing is an interesting idea; i totally don't oppose it. I mean, if anyone's gonna be bummed out about not making the cut, then they can just resent the entire crew instead of a couple people, i guess! (Editor's note: no one should ever be that bummed.) I'm all about trying new things. And i'm certainly not gonna hate on live band karaoke. It's been missed!

It's a vibe crush when we all put in an incredible amount of work to make these various events happen only to be derided as pay-to-play by people who don't get it.I can emphatically second this notion. I'm all for being inviting and open as always, but Dixie and i (mostly she) have taken the brunt of trying to encourage people to get involved only to get static in return. It's not worth it. That said, there are, for example, several new bands playing Thundersnow this year that don't have active PRF members but have buds in the crew, or have heard us talk about it, and get it and are fully into the vibe. Most of them submitted unsolicited. That's fucking awesome and we're stoked for them!
