Boss DF-2 Super Feedbacker and Distortion Jump to searchSantiago Durango Man, those pedals sucked. The Earth Sound Research Graphic Fuzz, which I've discussed at length on the PRF, almost seems to be Borken At Birth. The FILTER knob varies from pedal to pedal (I have one, I've played though three different examples), each pedal I ever tested had a different sound. Some oscillate all crazy, some don't. I'm sure that's why the pedal was a total failure, but therein lies it's wonky charm.

My first ever guitar pedal was a used Boss DF-2 Super Feedbacker and Distortion that was either broken or out of alignment. For anyone unfamiliar with these, you can hold the pedal down as you make a noise with the guitar and it will "sustain" that sound. It basically samples your pitch and generates a keyboard like tone that is adjustable with one knob that kind of controls timber, octave, and tone all at the same time. With my borken one, you could run a drum machine into it and holding down the pedal created a faux bass line. I sold that pedal for whatever reason, but I had 2 more of these pedals later that didn't do this, which bummed me out.
