I think Kurt knew this and I think if you could find the amp, you'd find the map.Yeah, but the amp IS the map - you just need to tilt the circuit at precisely the right angle, and the wiring reveals the location of the amp.Which should you look for? The amp or the map?

Big John wrote:As far as the amp goes on the unplugged (from amps) show. Being unplugged there is an on stage wedge monitor but no visible amps. So perhaps the amp is in a sewer shooting up from below? It's disguised as a wedge. I'm not even joking. You can see it behind the grassy knoll.

Damn evil educators won't teach four-corner cubic distortion. One-channel distortion singularity is a damn evil lie. You have been educated stupid. To bring this back (somewhat) on topic, a line selector can definitely open up whole new world of possibilities. I'm currently using an LS-2 to add a "mix" knob to fuzz pedals that don't have one, by running the fuzz pedal through one loop and running a patch cable straight from the "send" to the "receive" of the other loop, creating a dry line. This allows me to mix any amount of fuzz into the amp distortion of my Fender Prosonic. I particularly like running a fuzz pedal (say, a Univox Superfuzz) at a level at which it's just barely audible, adding a subtle raunch at the edges of the amp distortion. (Doing the same thing with a mildly overdriven ”or even clean ”sound can be interesting, as well.) You could do the same thing with any kind of effect; the possibilities are endless....

Funny thing is, since i've posted this thread, i got a Marshall tube head... And just right now it started to sound reaaally thin with a big pink noise type noise floor going on... Probably the power amp tubes dying or something.... and instead of using a boost pedal into it and becoming a rock star, i quietly called the store to get a return PDF, printed it and put the head back in the box.ROCK N ROLL
