If it takes pedals well, I think it should hit all the marks.I bypassed the speaker in my Pathfinder 10, plugged it into and Orange 2 X12, and played a show. It sounded cool. A Boss all in one effects unit was also utilized. The overdrive in the amp sounds better than you would think. It also sounds great if I run it clean and put a Tube Screamer in front.

The Pathfinder 15R, as everyone has already stated, is pretty awesome. I see them for around $100 all the time. Just grabbed one in Madison over this past summer for I think $70, and it sounds stupidly good with a Tele.My favorite practice amp ever though is the Marshall Lead 12. Clean isn't its strong point, but if you want a fairly accurate 2203/2204 sound at suitable home levels, it's perfect. Especially if you run it into a 12 speaker.

I thought they were silly long ago (at least for the price new), but I may have been silly to do so.My dad keeps trying to convince me to take his Greta, if that's the one you mean (the one shaped like an art-deco lump with a 4 speaker). My impression of the thing was you get about 10 degrees of clean on the volume/gain knob before the dirt starts. It's not terrible-sounding, but not fantastic, either. Maybe it'd be possible to clean it up with a few part changes.+1 on the Pathfinder 15 (R or no) being great. I had to go into a guitar fuckers recently for drumsticks and saw the 10W version for the first time, but didn't have time to check it out.

I just use an MS2, really. It sounds enough like my JCM900 that I don't have to think about how it'll translate. It works better when you remove the resistor on the headphone out and use it to drive a pair of old hi-fi speakers. Mine came from the day you Chicagoland people apparently have where you throw all your crap on the street. My brother was a-livin' in Elmhurst at the time, and 'twas a-browsin' that day.

I got way pissed off last week. I found a $50 Pathfinder 15R on Guitar Center and paid up only to get an email a week later that they had sold it to someone else. I got a refund, but way lame. I'd just get the Pathfinder 10 but I get spooked by those Telecaster Forum dudes who practically worship the 15 but poo poo the 10. I mean I know they are nuts, but just how nuts?I appreciate the offer on the Marshall, but it's just not my jam.
