We are trying to decide if we should also design it to fit in the 500 series format. It seems these days 500 series is losing some followers.Conversely, I think the Rusty might not be very popular amongst synth peeps for eurorack is more of a consideration for out 12-delay we have in the pipeline

Just wondering if that would have some appeal to the 500 series recording folks? We've actually considered output and possibly input transformers as add-on options. The price would be quite a jump up though. no idea how the Rusty would sound as a mic preamp. Interesting though.

Live seems like a 1U rack makes way more sense, but for studio use a 500 series makes a lot of sense. I think the choice should be focused that way -- query customers to find out how most boxes are used or just make both.

True Boxidiser tale- an entire tall boy of Rainer (just like water, only worse tasting) spilled into my Boxidiser at practice two weeks ago. Still works like a total champ. Has reminded me to buy a second one as a back up at some point.Using the Boxidiser as a guitar preamp for an Ampeg V4 is a very solid choice.
