I'm still loving Raisu. I've also been a pretty big fan of Bill Kim's restaurants for years - Urban Belly and BellyQ.If you never got to Hot Dougs and feel like you missed out, go to Hot G Dog.If you wanna do some sports eating and have money to burn to have "an experience," there is always Next/Alinea. And similar expensive experiential sports drinking at Aviary.

Right now I'll be a party of one, so I imagine it won't be too difficult for me to sneak in somewhere. I'm right near Purple Pig, which I love, but I've been there tons of times, so I'd like to mix it up a bit. Maybe a bit more 'date vibe' than Purple Pig Go on Major, treat yourself nice and maybe you'll get lucky!

Kabobi on N. Kedzie has won my heart. Here to officially declare them the reigning kings (shahs?) of Chicago Persian fare. Sure they might not have Reza's buffet, but their kabobs are cooked to perfection.Their ghormeh sabzi tastes even better than my Mom made it. Sorry Mom, but credit where it's due.
