Is anyone else having difficulty with Gmail at the moment? I get an "invalid address" message whenever I try to log in.

I have a problem I was wondering if the tech guys here could help with. I m losing old emails in Gmail. This is particularly annoying when I can t find receipts for gear I m about to sell so I know how much I paid for it. I even lost a thread from a couple years ago when we sent off an EP to be mixed. My notes from that exchange are gone. My Gmail account isn t full. I have my email itemized by promotion, updates, etc and when I clear stuff out, like saved searches, I am always sure to keep receipts. This has been going on for a while and it s really bugging me. I also use the gmail app on my iPhone and do not use the apple mail app. Googling the problem has not provided a satisfactory answer.

I have never lost anything in Gmail. Yes, searching All Mail is key.

Yeah this is searching for stuff on a desktop computer. I don t really bother searching for emails on my phone that aren t recent.

Not to state the PRF obvious but:

I know that searching on my phone frequently doesn't bring up everything it should, but when I try from a browser I can usually find it. When searching, make sure you're searching in the All Mail folder (or all mailboxes) vs just the inbox.
