I've been digging this for a few months without realizing it had gotten a physical release, but now the wax is on the way. I could listen to Erica Dunn howl X, Y, Z, FUCK YOOOOOOUUUUUU! all day long. More like this, please. (Isn't it zed, though?)Palm Springs is quite nice too, especially the release from last November. Harmony is an interesting idea but hasn't clicked for me yet, though I suspect it's just a matter of time, since these Tropical Fuckers seem to have the golden touch. (See also: Lauren Hammel's pretty legit stoner-metal-core band High Tension.) Then there's the Steve Miller Band (no, not that one). I shit-posted a video over here that is kind of amazing. Sounds like you had to be there, but I wish I had been.I'm looking forward to more MOD CON (or however it's supposed to be stylized) as much as I'm looking forward to the new TFS record. Which is rather a lot.MOD CON is legit but I don't rank them as high as TFS. I don't rank TFS as high as The Drones (yet), for whatever that's worth. I've been digging Poor People too. Not sure if this is quite right but its sort of sounds to me like it splits the difference between MOD CON and Palm Springs. As for Harmony, they were the first of her bands I was aware of and checked out because they were guests on Feelin' Kinda Free. It took a little while for them to click with me too but now I'm digging them.
