They sound alright, maybe a little rolled off in the highs. I've got one I'm going to be selling soon if you want to have matching speakers all around. The CTS might be a recone. Are you sure it's a CTS? Is there a EIA code on it?Oh yeah, the seven other speakers are definitely the 86-032-01's. That's actually what I was wanting. I can still get plenty of highs out of them and they will probably never blow. I may take that one off of you when you're ready to let it go.The bottom right one appeared to be a CTS. When I pulled it out to check, it had the same dark bronze colored frame, square magnet and a similar numerical code printed on the magnet. But the dust cap looks totally different than the CTS's in the flatback. Maybe it is a recone, I don't know.I think eventually I'll also get a replacement blue/silver grill for the cab from Fliptops.

I tried to find some a few weeks ago with no luck.We had a shitload of it in the practice space that came straight from LOUD Tech. it was what they were using on the Heritage Head/Cab. I used some for a VT-22 regrill. It matched the Magnavox era. But wasn't as silver as the early stuff. I've got a little left. I think. Let me see if my old bandmate kept the big roll. We had enough for an 8x10 grill.

It doesn't have the white piping and it was attached to the baffle with screws instead of velcro.

It has four replaced speakers, and I know the original Eminences only handle 30 watts apiece, so I'll probably end up swapping in some higher power handling speakers soon. I wanted a good bass cabinet to keep at my main practice space since my 2x15 resides at a different spot. The Bismarck got an early flatback for peanuts when we bought our V4B. We took the time to retolex and regrill it. Looked great- for about 1/2 of our first tour, but everything just got torn to shit lugging it around in a cargo van. Since them I am of the opinion that the more fucked these things are, the better they look- fuzzy carpet, hippy wall hanging as grillcloth, missing at least one speaker...all good to me.

Also came here to post that I have a surf green Bullet Mustang HH body on the way. A few months back I scored a 22.5 scale Duo Sonic neck. Been waiting to find one of these to do a budget build, maybe use up some tort pickguard material I have laying around. I dropped a mustang pickup in the neck of my white HH, but I never use it, so will recycle into this. I'm more inclined toward a musicmaster, but the neck is an original w/ the duo logo- so the cost of a switch and one more pickup is negligible
