I've gone on and one about my love of the echo setting of the Ibanez DE7, especially how great the self oscillation sounds. I've realized part of what I love is that the oscillation and repeats loose some of the low end, and it has a limiter so it never gets overwhelming loud. But of course, there are problems with the pedal, or things I'd like to have different:-Switches suck-Tone-Lok knobs can kinda suck and are a pain in the ass to replace-Not true bypass, and I've had a couple that were kinda noisey-No expression pedal to control delay timeAnyone know of an echo pedal that does similar self-oscillation and is true bypass (or has a decent buffer) and can have time controlled by an expression pedal? I've tried several other delays over the last year or so (Boss DM-2W, Moog Minifooger delay) that come close but not quite, and other pedals I've thought of trying out (Carbon Copy, regular Belle Epoch) don't have expression pedal options.Would prefer not to have to get some $300+ delay, but if that's what needs to happen I guess that's what needs to happen.

It s the perfect tool for what I m looking for (the ability to smash some distortion and change the mid tones in the same instant). The only other one I can seem to find is a Joemeek GBQ, which looks like a beauty but is also a bit hefty. Two quick questions...- Is overall pedal size playing into your choice?- Is fuzz an acceptable substitution for distortion if it gets you the EQ?

I think it does everything you ask and they're pretty cheap these days..I've never actually messed with one (there's at least two in our space though so I can definitely check it out, but damn, these take up so much board space. Will probably reach out and see about a rehouse of the DE7 and see if an expression control can even be added.

I picked up my EQD Talons in part because it seemed logical to have bass, mid, treble on a pedal you use a lot, as opposed to the typical single tone knob, or the bass/treble knobs.I think your desire is the same reason some folks end up getting switching/routing pedals to turn on different combos of pedals with one click. That's always felt like a step into a whole other lifestyle to me and so far I've dodged it.
