I personally love a splash with ALCOHOL. None of that lotion shit. Currently using Terre de Hermes. Smells GREAT and conditions nicely. I was using Acqua di Parma "lotion" which was really a splash, total misnomer; the balm is a lotion. Maybe there's something lost in translation btw lotion and balm...In any case, I require alcohol in my aftershave.If I run out I will use vodka until I replenish, seems to work.Go.

Man, Tom Ford used to make a vetiver based aftershave, it was a gift (not for sale ever I think) when you bought cologne. Fuck that stuff was great. I used buy the gift bottles on eBay but haven't found it in years.
