Didn't have occasion to listen to it on a "proper stereo" until today, but...the latest Bedouine album, Bird Songs of a Killjoy, is a quiet masterpiece. It has the unerring gentle allure of an Astrud Gilberto record and is produced like a sparser, slightly toned-down Bryter Layter. The recording and arrangements have lots of nice dynamics. It's her best one yet!
