This is my very favourite find from this long period.
Jute Gyte is a solo project, I would summarize it as avantgarde black metal, using microtonality, intricate rhythmic patterns and ideas "stolen" from modern composers. I love the fact Adam Kalmbach often explains the geometry behind his compositions and where the inspiration came from. Super interesting stuff IMO
Any fan?
One of his many great records:

2I've enjoyed some of his stuff, but it's one of those where the volume of releases and density of a lot of it makes it tiring. When it hits the spot though, it can be really good, so NC.

3Agree with this. Really dig Perdurance in its entirety. But yeah, super maximalist and best in smaller doses.A_Man_Who_Tries wrote: Mon May 03, 2021 4:08 am I've enjoyed some of his stuff, but it's one of those where the volume of releases and density of a lot of it makes it tiring. 4I finally checked him out this week, the record I listened to was cool, but also very long, I doubt I'll need a larger dose. I could change my mind.
