discussion currently being had regarding actors and the quality of their movies.
who was only in really amazing movies or really awful movies. no tweeners.

Michael Caine has entered the conversation
Samuel L Jackson?
Re: Dynamic Range of Movie Quality
2John Cazale never had a dud of course, but there's no range when they're all belters.
Gene Hackman would be my shout. Phillip Seymour Hoffman perhaps. There must be the odd tweener but there's a big old gulf twixt best and worst.

3This is one of those things like the “no dud albums” thing where longevity and being prolific are penalties, I think. Samuel L Jackson has been in so many movies ; there’s bound to be a few tweeners.
Actors who came to mind, though I’d bet they have a few tweeners too:
Lawrence Fishburne
Christopher Lee
Jack Nance
Monica Vitti

5maybe Nic Cage, but there may be plenty of average Cage that I just haven't seen

7Wild at Heart probably disqualifies both him and Jack Nance. But yeah, he came to mind as well.prowler wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 2:56 pm maybe Nic Cage, but there may be plenty of average Cage that I just haven't seen
