Pretty sure they toured together at some point for at least a few dates.

I was at one of those Q&A with Nick Cave shows and someone asked him if he would like to talk about Bauhaus at all. He quickly and flatly answered "No." It was the shortest answer of the evening by a mile. Wonder what that's all about.

Love them both, but The Birthday Party with a bullet.

(I looked it up, they did tour together. 1981. This page has a cool flyer uploaded for the shows: https://www.concertarchives.org/concert ... hday-party )

Shit-disturber. Zzzzzzz.
Yeah, Nick Cave dissed every single band back then except for The Fall. Seemed like a guy with a lot to prove. These days he likes to prove that he has a closet full of suits..

Yawn indeed.

Yeah where I'm at too. Sold off all the BP I had, kept the Bauhaus.

In the flat field and The Sky's Gone Out = Alltime Keepers for me.

Funny how briefly they were firing. Bela Lugosi 12" in Aug 1979 and done by 1983.
Big +1 on The Sky's Gone Out.
Their cover of Third Uncle is aces.
DIY and die anyway.

Basically the same timeframe as the Birthday Party.

For me it's the bass that wins it. Tracy Pew on King Ink & Mutiny in Heaven is some of the greatest shit I have ever heard. David J is no slouch, but Pew was a monster.
