Delays on the Gordons LP reissue driving me potty (yes I know, #first_world_problems)
Man I think I pre-ordered this in December? Didn't want to BLOW IT like I did with the Dadamah reissue. Goddamnit, that thing was gone in femtoseconds.twelvepoint wrote: Tue May 11, 2021 6:08 am I just got an email from Forced Exposure about payment on my preorder for that Gordons LP so I think it’s either available now, or imminent!
Alister Parker had a tremendous sound! I got to see Bailter Space a few times. There was some show in Boston back then at the Mid East, a little 150 person club, and he had a Marshall 45 watt half stack, a silvertone twin twelve and I think a third combo amp? Had a big, complex sound without seeming “too loud” if that makes sense.Frankie99 wrote: Fri May 14, 2021 9:21 pm I need to get the Gordons stuff and the Wammo re-master. Got to see Bailter Space in Texas around that time and i remember being so surprised he was playing a Rickenbacker. I just assumed he was getting that sound from something else with single coils.
This is wild!! Digging it so far.Ryan Zepaltas wrote: Fri May 14, 2021 12:35 am I have been digging the newest Wax Chattels https://waxchattels.bandcamp.com/album/clot
YEAAAAAH! I saw that in live videos and was like, "OH, got it, that makes sense."Frankie99 wrote: Got to see Bailter Space in Texas around that time and i remember being so surprised he was playing a Rickenbacker. I just assumed he was getting that sound from something else with single coils.
He was definitely playing 2 amps when I saw them, and though I wouldn’t bet real money on it, my memory is a super reverb and an AC30. But yes, huge sound without being door blowing loud.twelvepoint wrote: Sat May 15, 2021 2:14 amAlister Parker had a tremendous sound! I got to see Bailter Space a few times. And yeah he always had that weird Rick 360 with the headstock that was slightly sawed off at the end, I recall?
