Re: Rock band format: Two drummers
32I'm surprised anyone still knows about/uses this site (crapnotcrap.com). I should probably start working on getting it updated to pull data from the new forum.jason_from_volo wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 2:58 pm Off topic, I just checked crapnotcrap.com and saw that this was debated previously with a 19-5 vote, with “not crap” winning. Slightly disappointed in myself for duplicating a previous topic, though others have said not to worry.
Re: Rock band format: Two drummers
34Does that really matter? We can't really pick up the old topics from where they left off, unless I'm missing something. We might as well start over.jason_from_volo wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 10:06 pmAt this point it is the best reference to see what has been subjected to crap/not crap previously. I am trying as best as I can to not duplicate old topics.

35Right now Dixie and I are watching a 1980 Genesis concert on YouTube and Phil just hopped onto a second kit next to Chester Thompson and it FUCKING RIPPED.
Re: Rock band format: Two drummers
38I think the effort involved usually makes it a positive. Leaving aside, of course, all the funk and soul bands that had a kit and a percussionist, you can't have a two-drummer band with two shitty drummers, and the drumming is necessarily prominent.Multiple drummers in a rock context: The Boredoms! The Dirtbombs! That's good shit right there.

Re: Rock band format: Two drummers
40I'm not as versed on the matter as the previous posters, but Steakdaddy six's Arkadelphia is an awesome Lp full of double drums per track.
