So, I went on a sort of City Pop binge. For the unfamiliar, City Pop was a late-70s-early-80s Japanese pop genre with lots of jazz, R&B, and disco influences. Some of it sounds like light funk, some sounds like jazz fusion, some sounds like yacht rock. Anyhow it's pretty fun. I decided that my ideal vibe for this summer would be chopped and screwed city pop... but it doesn't exist. So I had to make some. And that's what I've been doing.
I'm putting mp3s of everything I make in this folder here so y'all can check it out. The results are pretty awesome if I do say so myself - you've got that slick pop feel, but turned into a sort of narcotic haze. Good for, say, being at a pool party on too many drugs.

4As I mentioned on teh twitzer, anything worth experiencing is worth experiencing more slowly. Like a song? Slow it down! Why not?
