Finally got around to checking out the last couple things from Wovenhand.

It's thoroughly, pretty okay and cool. I always enjoy, but can never feel a deep connection for that kind of thing. Excellent production though!

After last week's Radiohead run through, this week is going to me more dependable with Outkast. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is rock-solid still. Great-sounding record.

you guys i was listening to motley Crue and Ella Fitzgerald like it's Christmas lol they're really able to give you such a boost but its good timing lol

now Ella Fitzgerald reminds me that i used to have all these emotions like being blonde am i white washing like Sammy Sosa or am i being that beauty that girls look at and then im not some shmoe im warm and welcoming like feel how good we are together

I picked up OK Computer as my first listen this morning.

It's interesting listening to this after hearing your different perspective. This album seemed innovative when it came out, and I still love the songs. But now it sounds kind of tame.

It didn't ever really strike me as innovative at the time as much as Innovative for a band with so much MTV air time. Synthy shoegaze and space rock wasn't a new thing at all when OK Computer came out, it was just something people didn't expect from a band that had just put out an over the plate alternative guitar jangle record just before it. I used to work with a bunch of frat boys that loved The Bends (and that horrible POS Pablo Honey record), and hated OK Computer because the guitar tones didn't sound like Tom Petty anymore. Little did they know, Radiohead could afford a wall of modular synth now and it wasn't turning back around.

Jean-Michel Jarre - Zoolook. I have an original French-burn CD on the way, which will be a great way to avoid the bonkers mastering on the endless remixed versions.
