Aerosmith - Live Bootleg [Every track slays the studio versions. One of the few mainstream 1970s live albums with no overdubs]

Bauhaus - Press The Eject And Give Me The Tape

Kiss - Alive! [Everything is overdubbed except Peter Criss's drums but who cares?]

Television - The Blow Up

James Brown - Live At The Apollo [+ most of his 1960s-1970s live albums]

Mission Of Burma - The Horrible Truth About Burma

Ramones - It's Alive

Velvet Underground - 1969 Live With Lou Reed

Miles Davis - Agharta, Pangaea, Dark Magus

Kraftwerk - Radio Bremen (bootleg) [One of the few recordings of the lineup with Klaus & Michael from NEU!]

Fleetwood Mac - Live At The Boston Tea Party [If this had been released at the time (1970) it would have stood tall next to Master Of Reality, Machine Head, Space Ritual, Who's Next, and other monuments of early 1970s hard rock. It's that good.]

As much as I love this record, as well as Sphinctour and You Goddamn Son of a Bitch, there's Kiss levels of over dubbing going on there, so I used to think it didn't really count.

Then they released a nearly complete show (missing 1 song from the set) from the Mind tour a few years back that's basically a cleaned up version of the Power Department: taken from the sound board, sans posthoc studio interference. Dreadful cover art and title but Live: Necronomicon is a total mindfuck. Definitely worth a listen...

Thanks, I listened to (most of) it. I'm honestly not a big Ministry fan though.
"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

Yes, end of list. The live version of Tommy kicks the shit out of the studio album and is the only version of that record I listen to.
