I have a few others, but these get played most.

I downsized last year as my interest are leaning more towards astrophotography these days. I'd like to add a baritone, banjo and maybe a mandolin at some point though.

33Can you tell me a little about the Jag? I'm interested in a Jag as my next guitar. I have small hands and the shorter scale seems like a nicer fit. I have enough dough from selling off stuff to get me into player-grade vintage, but I'm open to about anything, from actual vintage, to nitro custom shop to generic american, Mexi, or even Squier.AstroRoadie wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 7:10 am B9DF3E4E-7E2E-47D5-BF59-6E9E5DA7FC99_1_105_c.jpeg

34It's from 2007. Wildwood, Daves and another guitar shop had exclusive rights to a thin skin or nitro finished line of Jaguars and Jazzmasters Fender produced. They only made about 50 in each color. It's a great guitar, bright even for a Jaguar with tons of sustain. I usually throw in some resistors over the 1k pots to bring the top end down a little bit.twelvepoint wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 7:41 amCan you tell me a little about the Jag? I've got small to medium size hands and to be honest I don't notice the scale difference between the Jaguar and the Tele.
You see these pop up on Reverb occasionally for around $1600 mint with case and candy which is what they sold for originally. While technically a Custom Shop, Limited Edition guitar I don't see them becoming sought after but looks like they are holding their value.
Re: Show us your guitars!
35I guess a Jag is basically like a strat length, minus the first fret. I dunno, I still would like to spend some time with one and see about the feel. I think I’d dig it.
That Wildwood custom looks great. I have a thin skin tele I got from them around ‘09 or so and really dig it. It was like $1300 which seemed real extravagant at the time but I had a work windfall.

Re: Show us your guitars!
36I was looking for a vintage Jag at the time when I rang up Wildwood and they told me about the thin skins they were working on. I needed something I could gig with so it made more sense and I could get a flight case, new amp and a pedal or two as well. I look at the vintage market on occasion and it seems so ridiculous anymore. $5k for a sunburst post CBS Jag? 37I've got a 2008 Les Paul standard. I am a doctor (not that kind of doctor) and the seller was a dentist (no kidding). In the end, all the pieces fall into place.
BTW it's one of the best guitars I've played.

38Basses first. Sorry for the terrible photo.
1973 Ibanez Artist 2615B / '80's Steinberg copy (Cort?) / 2010 MIJ Jaguar Bass / 1997 Ibanez ATK300 / 1998 MIM P Bass
DIY and die anyway.
Re: Show us your guitars!
39I love that weird headless bass! It's got P/J electronics so it's pretty versatile that way. Stays in tune forever and feels really nice.jason from volo wrote: Fri Aug 27, 2021 8:15 am
My dad had one of those Steinberger copies (which I guess is mine now)! I think it was a Hohner.
Nice thread rename.
Once I get all of my shit together and am back home, I'll post my guitars & basses here.
When I first got it I kept landing on the 3rd fret when going for the 1st - so weird not having a headstock.
(Whooops! Thought the rename would only apply to my post. I fix!)
DIY and die anyway.
