Trying to slide this in real low-profile like. My appeal on my disability claim was approved last week. I don't have to work, or fight to prove that it's extremely difficult for me to work anymore. I'm noticing a sadness, along with relief. My identification with my career extended to the point of being my handle on some weird indie rock forum.
I found out the same day Patrick got his news. I'm very excited to start letting the seeds I've planted over the years begin to develop. No idea what's next. I'm grateful.

182Lovely news. Hope there's a bit less on your shoulders for it.PASTA wrote: Mon Jul 05, 2021 11:02 am Trying to slide this in real low-profile like. 183Well deserved, Pasta. If you'd left any more on the battlefield they'd have laid your medals on a box.
Time to enjoy some stuff. Get to it.

186Been separated since October ‘19.
Get along great, cohabiting since Spring 2020 to care for our kid during the apooocalypse.
Divorce finalized today.
I’ll be under the porch, with the rats who found the birdseed.

187Happy England are going to play for a trophy this weekend, unhappy that it was at the expense of Denmark, feeling aggrieved it was in part due to a pretty blatant dive resulting in a penalty.

188In Zone One, a zombie novel from a few years ago, they're clearing out an office building and encounter zombies who had been locked in a conference room, just doing their zombie thing, for five years or so. Couldn't help but think the author, Colson Whitehead, was trying to, you know, tell me something.jason from volo wrote: Wed Jul 07, 2021 12:52 pm I went into my work office today for the first time since March 2020.
Just as I left it. All of the calendars on the wall and in the cubes still say March 2020. And there's like 10 people here in a building that normally has somewhere approaching 1000.
It is so fucked up.. like the next thing I plan to see is a herd of zombies coming around the corner of the hall.
