Trying to slide this in real low-profile like. My appeal on my disability claim was approved last week. I don't have to work, or fight to prove that it's extremely difficult for me to work anymore. I'm noticing a sadness, along with relief. My identification with my career extended to the point of being my handle on some weird indie rock forum.

I found out the same day Patrick got his news. I'm very excited to start letting the seeds I've planted over the years begin to develop. No idea what's next. I'm grateful.

Lovely news. Hope there's a bit less on your shoulders for it.

Just as I left it. All of the calendars on the wall and in the cubes still say March 2020. And there's like 10 people here in a building that normally has somewhere approaching 1000.

It is so fucked up.. like the next thing I plan to see is a herd of zombies coming around the corner of the hall.
In Zone One, a zombie novel from a few years ago, they're clearing out an office building and encounter zombies who had been locked in a conference room, just doing their zombie thing, for five years or so. Couldn't help but think the author, Colson Whitehead, was trying to, you know, tell me something.

Divorce finalized today.
