While it's right there in my sig, I've been doing weekly live-on-twitch ambient improvisations (guitar + Max/MSP eight-delay system) here: https://twitch.tv/onezeromusic. 8PM EDT (7 Central) on Mondays, for about an hour and fifteen minutes. It's ambient in the drone sense--long notes or sparse notes, slow development, slowly recurring things. (Not ambient in the sense of beat-with-melody-on-top...which isn't ambient, if you ask me, but people seem to call it that.)
After those, I'll clean up the results a bit (take out in-between space, filter peak distortion because I hate the rattle, crossfade out notes I'd regret or tech failures), and put 'em up a few days later at https://snwv.bandcamp.com/. All that stuff's free to download.
Since 2014, I've been doing weekly instrumental compositions/recording as well, mostly involving guitar/bass/drums, but some of which is more drone, or more electronic, or more rock or whatever. There are well over 300 of these now. I'm a big believer in regular creative practice, whether you're feeling it or not--if you keep doing it, you'll end up with some good pieces that you otherwise never would have thought to create.
Pieces in even-numbered years end up at https://weeklybeats.com/onezero, while odd-numbered years are at https://streak.club/u/onezero, with 2015's pieces up on my SoundCloud account.

2Hello Maurice, I'm listening to "60" now and it is perfect for right now. I'll be listening to this tomorrow, I know already. Your words on regular creation are good advice, something I will try to follow. If I can ever get the time to work, I'll drop in on a Twitch stream.

3I need to be better about checking out your stuff as it happens Maurice. You've always got something nice going.

6Thank you! I think this week benefitted from the decision to go for longer delay times and sustained tones with sparser shorter ones. That and this was the first week in a while that didn't have show-preventing tech problems up until right before showtime.
Re: snwv and weekly music
7This week I did (and released) the 70th live ambient stream of our 71-week-and-counting pandemic. This one's on a $40 guitar.
The just-previous week 69, though, was on pedal steel with occasional FFT pitch shift, and has some rather satisfying stretches in there.

Thank you, Seby! I'm glad you both like it! (I'm previewing/level-twiddling last night's pedal steel #71; it should be up this evening.)seby wrote: Tue Jul 27, 2021 7:29 am p.s. From girlfriend spontaneously - "This music is really nice...." : ) wrt #70
