Holy Ghost (NYC) Kinda like if the Replacements were from DC.
Low Brau (Brooklyn). Like a super-damaged AC/DC meets Black Flag. My favorite songs are "Cop Haircut" and "Get out the Gout".

Isn't someone from Nebraska's Opium Taylor in this band? We set up some house shows for OT back in college, those guys were great. Haven't heard HGhost yet. will check out. thanks.

33nb played with the holy ghost in nyc, and i played w/them at the hideout in our old band right after thier first record came out - they were real nice dudes - very good experience - good people. run thier own label and totally DIY.
they also seem to have doppleganger bands - i think there's a holy ghosts (or was till recently) in chicago, which is not the same band. and kerble - they did have some nebraska connection too.

34some of my friends play in these bands.

This Charming Man - http://www.tcmrock.com
They're planning a summer tour all over the east half of the USA, so if anyone can help them out, please do. The Smiths reference is intentional.
-----
Bubble/Gum - http://www.bubblegum-band.com http://www.myspace.com/bubblegum
They're looking for a label to release their 2nd LP because they're really poor.
-----
Steal The Air - http://www.stealtheair.com
My roomate's band...
...that's all for now.

38Shotgun & Jaybird have a charming website. A good introduction to Sackville New Brunswick, if ever there were one. Of the mp3s on the site, I like the songs off _Sackville Classics For Simple Ukulele_ the best. I don't know the two principle members actually; I know their unofficial third man, Paul. Paul is an inspiring man.

39Holy not crap! Good to see you, LAD!
Are you back? Scratch that. Clearly, you're back.
(Pssst: Still going to be "incommunicado for most of May and June living in a tent in northern British Columbia without electricity"?)
How's the kitty?
