Yeah.. these pandemic videos have been more than a little surprising for a guy who has such an uptight reputation. (though props for remaining seated!)

12I reckon he'd do anything Toyah wanted him to. Mind, with a figure like hers at 63 you can't really blame him.penningtron wrote: Mon Aug 09, 2021 2:56 pmYeah.. these pandemic videos have been more than a little surprising for a guy who has such an uptight reputation. 14I've always thought Toyah's "Neon Womb" is a great cut. She's always been really beautiful.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.
Re: Band: King Crimson
15I own the record from the Toyah / Fripp project Sunday All Over the World, but it leaves me cold. Maybe I should revisit it. This is the s/t opener:
Love this lesser discussed track from their 80's run, "Dig Me":
Discipline is every bit as good as the Wetton records, IMO, though completely different. Belew ranges from goofy to corny a lot of the time on their 80's stuff, but it mostly works. What's not to like on "Indiscipline"?
The main instrumental section is a juggernaut.

16This is a great record that I've never actually had. At this point I don't need a copy, but it's cool they did it.
OK, this is great.

Re: Band: King Crimson
18King Crimson is my favorite band ever. Seeing them at the Vic years ago was by fare the greatest concert experience of my life. Also, if I'm willing to go to Ravinia in August and sit on the lawn I must be obsessed. I will say though that I don’t find my self listening to Lizard or Islands often. “Impaled on nails of ice!”, yikes. The high watermark of their iterations for me is the line up on Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. I mean I hate to sound like a pandering fuck but how do you even come up with shit that good. I would highly recommend the Absent Lovers live album because the version of Waiting Man on it is amazing.

Re: Band: King Crimson
20I don't really remember much of the rest of the album, but "Cirkus", off of Lizard, is a jam:
