whoa, that describes a toxic dude I know to a t. he's kind of the defacto leader of the DIY scene my gf is a part of. he cheated on his now ex-wife, because he was "depressed". then when people told him that's a weak excuse, he pivoted to "she cheated on me too!!!". he also dated my gf's bff before that marriage, and he was a gaslighting piece of shit then as well. he ran for the local school board and finished dead last. it came out that he was fired from his second teaching position in as many years.

he also claims to suffer from "imposter syndrome". right, the self-righteous blowhard on social media and in the flesh.

I am clearly not the target market for Taylor Swift, but she is really intentional and generous with her philanthropy (plus she puts a bee in Kanye West's bonnet to boot), so I won't switch the station if a T-Swizzle song comes on.

I don't think they're "bad" per se, but Pearl Jam do a ton to support charities and causes, and from everything I've heard from my friends who've worked with them in some capacity, they're all great dudes, but they haven't done anything musically I'm interested in since the 90s.

Yeah, I've encountered it several times by now. And embarrassingly, it took a woman pointing it out with detailed incidents each time for me and many others to notice. I don't know why a self-proclaimed "male feminist" seemingly having a new girlfriend every other month didn't raise any red flags for me..

For artists that I've loved for a long time, I'm not throwing out their records after I hear they're a piece of shit. I take pause buying new stuff from someone who's a piece of shit, like if they're really terrible but I like their record I'll just download it so I'm not giving financial support to a real garbage ass. But if a record kicks ass, I'm probably going to listen to it regardless of how terrible the artist behind it is.

Duff McKagan seemed like a nice enough guy, but I still wouldn't listen to GNR.

Just remembered that my old band had a phrase for nice guys in mediocre bands that eventually became a song title: "Big Hearts, Small Riffs".
