Nu Metal- One drum, two pedals.

Metal Metal- Two drums, two pedals.

I've never played a set with 2 kicks. It's seems like it would be awkward ergonomically.

I used to have a double kick pedal but increasingly couldn't come up with interesting things to do with it (one can only do so many b-d-d-d-d-d-whopp fills) so I've been single pedal since.

I don't listen to much metal and outside of that I can't think of a genre or style that benefits from double kick.

I'm gonna go metal-metal because Dave Lombardo, but I don't have a preference.

Any setup as long as they are Tama Iron Cobra's, I do like the sound of two beaters on one head. Gives this kind of tone because the head does not have time to refract back in time between hit's. At least that what I guess i am perceiving. If that makes any sense. You get the idea. I really need to figure out more about the properties of drums. Any suggestions?
