It seems nice - almost too nice - but I've got some extra cash after selling a few things and that Volante seems like it can do pretty much anything...
I know dude. The sound on sound stuff is enough to tempt me into becoming one of those weird YouTube guitarists just floating and looping up my own butt day and night. So pricey though. Still probably cheaper than therapy.

I'm thinking about buying another acoustic guitar. I'm still playing on the Epiphone I got as a birthday present 20+ years ago. It still sounds good, but one problem I've always had is that I can't wrap my hand all the way around the neck, and play the lower E string with my thumb. Maybe I just have small hands?

Anyway, what kind of models should I look at, and what should I avoid? I play rock and pop. Budget - $750-$800.
"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

Of course you'll want to try them. I worked at a competitor for GC/Banjomart for a year and there was a dude with a shit cheap Fender that sounded fantastic who found it by playing a dozen identical models.

I think in that range you can find a really nice sounding Guild, but I can't remember what the necks are like. This would also put you on the lower end of some Taylors (which I don't love) and Martins (which can be great). There's also the angle that you'd be in the upper reaches of the less renowned brands: Yamaha, Ibanez, Alvarez. While my instincts make me reluctant to approach those, I've had surprising experiences playing 'the right one'. For example, I did a cheapo acoustic shootout when looking for a student level guitar for my wife, and a totally laminate, non solid top Peavey beat out Epiphone, Washburn etc. It was baffling.

Anyone have any experience with the Harbor Freight drill presses? Specifically the smaller 8 inch version. I have some pedal-kit builds in the queue and want to get a press so I don't have to deal with drilling enclosures with my hand drill.

I don't need it for much more than enclosures and the occasional odd job that might come up.
