See I've been mostly disappointed w/ mine. Even w/ very good pre-amps, I'm getting too much noise. Does mine have to be re-ribboned? It shouldn't as it's been absolutely babied, not used on super high SPLs and stored in the upright position - or is this just something to expect to have to do after 5 years?
