11Oh, and also not a cheap ribbon mic, but a solid middle between some of the more affordable ones mentioned, and the pricier Royers would be a used Beyer M160. It's good at a few different things.

See I've been mostly disappointed w/ mine. Even w/ very good pre-amps, I'm getting too much noise. Does mine have to be re-ribboned?
