Yeah, it's a Squier, but it's a Japanese 84 and honestly it plays just as nice as any American made strat I've used. The 335 Epi was a relative bargain for a lefty; bought it from a guy who was moving on to just doing acoustic stuff. The Gibson is a SGJ; totally no frills, no pickguard, no finish. I've had the fretless for about 30 years and I still can't play it well enough to feel confident.

53Yep, that's the one. Couldn't let it slip away. Pots are dirty and one of the jacks needs attention, but otherwise it's a gem.biscuitdough wrote: Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:04 amWhat’s the fretted bass in the back row? Re: Show us your guitars!
55It is a kit guitar I built. It plays like a dog but I put Lace Alumitone Deathbuckers in it and it sounds meaner than my Kramer 450B.
Re: Show us your guitars!
56Hi everyone. Nice to meet you all. Really great collections here. I liked to see the eclectic variety so I figured it ok to share my little selection of weird things. L>R MiA 1970's Fender Jazz Bass w/ Precision neck (it was replaced after a car accident.) Slammer Strat Frankenstein project w SD hot-rails in the bridge position. IYV Mustang copy I just got from Amazon for another project. Fender Electric/Acoustic C something w the Fishman tuner/pickup. and a First Act toy guitar that I have strung Nashville tuned. Thanks for reading and I hope everyone is healthy and well.

Re: Show us your guitars!
57I have one of those early 80s Japanese Squiers and it is the most well crafted, best playing guitar in my collection. Most of my other guitars are 90s and newer MIJ and MIMs and the Squier blows them all away. Like you said, it feels like a higher end American Strat, and I got it super cheap on Craigslist.kicker_of_elves wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:25 pm Moving back to the basement for fall. 58Rescued a 1986 Fender Japan P Bass from a hacky 5 string conversion (which made it very cheap at the local pawn shop):
but mostly I have been playing this cheapo but excellent SX Jazz:
Re: Show us your guitars!
59No, but I was totally inspired by some of the builds I saw of yours. I did a pretty lousy job dowelling the tuner holes and I need to put a better bridge on it, but it was a fun conversion.cjury wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 9:35 pmDid I build that Bronco Bass VI? I made like 20 of those for folks, never kept one for myself...been thinking about making one to resolve that oversight.

60That looks so much better. The ghost of Leo Fender thanks you for your fine work.matttkkkk wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 4:39 pm Rescued a 1986 Fender Japan P Bass from a hacky 5 string conversion (which made it very cheap at the local pawn shop):
